DNA Media TV apps are in early testing and aren't in any app store yet. Below is the real status of each device, with install steps for testers.

Early test builds. Expect rough edges, and check the SHA-256 before installing.

Fire TV / Fire Stick

Fire TV runs Android apps (APK). Installing outside the Amazon Appstore is called sideloading.

Fire TV, Android TV and Android phones/tablets use the same single APK (DNA-Media-TV-1.0.14.apk). One upload switches on all three.

Installation guide (documentation — not a download)

1. Turn on Developer Options

  1. Open Settings → My Fire TV → About.
  2. Select your device name (e.g. “Fire TV Stick 4K”) about 7 times until you see “You are now a developer”.
  3. Go back to My Fire TV → Developer Options. Menu names vary by Fire OS version.

2. Send the APK with LocalSend (phone → TV)

  1. Install LocalSend on your phone and on the Fire TV (Amazon Appstore, where available for your model).
  2. Connect both to the same Wi-Fi network. Guest networks and some routers block device-to-device transfer.
  3. Open LocalSend on the TV, then send the DNA Media .apk from your phone and accept on the TV.

3. Install

  1. Open the received file from LocalSend or a file manager app.
  2. When asked, allow that app to “Install unknown apps” (Developer Options → Install unknown apps).
  3. Select Install, then Open.
  4. Press the Home button, find DNA Media under Your Apps, hold Options (☰) and choose Move to front if offered.

Other ways

  1. Downloader app: install “Downloader” by AFTVnews from the Amazon Appstore, allow it to install unknown apps, then enter the exact download address shown on this page once the file is hosted.
  2. ADB (technical): enable ADB debugging, then run “adb connect <tv-ip>” and “adb install DNA-Media-TV-1.0.14.apk” from a computer on the same network.
  • • The app does not start automatically when the TV turns on.
  • • Older Fire TV models or Fire OS versions may not support every feature.

Stay safe

Only install files linked from this page. Check the SHA-256 shown next to a release matches your file. Never install a DNA Media APK from another website, and turn “unknown sources” back off afterwards.
